Resilient Sanding Cloth 3M™ Cloth 332D is used to create abrasive rolls and belts best suited for sanding and finishing on metal thanks to its durability and fast cutting abrasive material. Its flexible, x-weight cotton cloth backing provides smooth operation and durability and can conform to the shape of contoured parts for consistent finishing. The abrasive side features an open coat of aluminum oxide grains that self-fracture to provide a fast cut and a fine finish. Heat and Load Resistant The 332D Cloth also uses a resin bonding which is specially designed to resist thermal and chemical deterioration, which can occur during sanding. This bond is very tough and excellent for precision work on all types of metal surfaces. This also allows for faster sanding action and a higher cut rate. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate sawdust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. This allows the abrasive mineral to continue cutting even when sanding materials that would otherwise clog the grain and hinder sanding ability.
