Specialized Mandrel Accesses Small Spaces
Airplane seat tracks are the hard-working metal components that run the length of the fuselage of an airplane and secure cargo and interior assemblies. Typically manufactured of extruded metals, they must meet stringent FAA surface finish requirements. Using this 3M™ mandrel, 3M™ Roloc™ Discs, and a power tool, operators can access small diameters and intricate spaces of seat track channels in order to polish them to specification.

Our Roloc™ quick attachment system enables operators to quickly switch abrasive disc products. This mandrel accepts both TSM and TS quick change discs. The 3M™ Roloc™ TSM quick change attachment is designed with an asymmetrical metal hub that requires just a short twist to securely lock components in place. The 3M™ Roloc™ TS quick change mechanism utilizes a screw-on type fastener and is equally quick and secure. They attach with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. No tools are needed, and this quick and convenient attachment method saves operators time when assembling tools and accessories.
